bend me, b r e a k me. She was born on the western coast of Italy. Her father was a wealthy owner of a vineyard. When she was a little girl, she lived a relatively happy life with her parents by the sea. However, when war broke out, her father was forced to serve, her home was ransacked, and she moved with her mother to the city, to Rome. There she lived in poverty, barely surviving off of the rest of their government-stolen fortune. It didn't last long. Her father returned from the war, beaten and bruised, but still loyal to his family. He and her mother tried desperately to bring back the life they once had, taking shady jobs and dealing with dangerous people in order to obtain the least amount of money required to buy food. These dangerous connections led them to be hunted down and killed one dark night. As they fled from their home, the three of them were attacked by a mysterious person wielding a black katana. Their daughter, barely 10 years old at the time, was miraculously able to survive (but only after leaving with a deep scar in the shape of an X across her chest). As she lay there inches from death, another person came to the bloody scene and discovered her. This man was only known to her as "Fuyumine". He took her in and raised her to fight, using mainly knives and other bladed weapons. He gave her a new name, "Naoto", since she suffers from amnesia and can't remember anything about herself prior to the attack. Though he took her in, she automatically assumed he had been her parents' murderer. Eventually, Naoto came home one day to find that Fuyumine had been killed by one of his other pupils. As she looked upon his dead body slumped against the wall and the black katana he had always carried, the other student Magato informed her that he was not the one who killed her parents. Naoto was left with only a burning desire for revenge against her fallen parents and a small clue to the whereabouts of the real murderer: "Underground". With this information, she took on a job as a mercenary and assassin, working for the corrupt government that drove her parents to their death. She eventually obtained some vital information on two people that might know something about the Underground: A man with white hair and red eyes, and another with red hair and an eyepatch. She is currently searching for them. |
